The C-19 Project , Day 1
Time….
I came up with the idea for this project mainly because I had the time. I mean how often do we joke when asked about doing something do we say let me check my schedule? It seems like all many of us have right now is time. How often is it said, “I wish I had more time” or “there isn’t enough time in the day?” And now we have “too much time on our hands.” I started this site on May 9, 2011 with a vision and a plan. Over time it has evolved, changed, started, stopped, and put on the back burner. As this all started, and we were working our last show on March 12th, I said to my fellow co-workers that I was going to use this time to “come out ahead.” At the time I did not know what that meant or would be, but I knew it was something I was going to do.
What is the C-19 Project? The C-19 Project is going to be a series of old images I have that will come from my archives. The project will run for 19 days. Each day I will write a short story about the image or what it represents. Each image may be one I have published before, or it may be one I have had in the collection and never used. If it is an old image I have published before I will be taking the time to re-process it and give it new life.
Today’s image was shot on October 8, 2014 at Art Prize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the time it was just a bunch of clocks that really meant little to me. Six years later it says something, how important time is. Use it wisely because before you know it the day will come when you will wish you had more time….
